Emergency Info Line
The Emergency Information line service allows the public, customers, staff or the press access to the latest information on an emergency or incident simply by calling a published phone number. This service relieves the pressure on staff tasked with answering calls during an emergency, even if internal communications have failed.
Hosted Emergency Communication
As the Emergency Information line is hosted, it operates separately from any telecoms equipment you may have in your offices.
In order that Callagenix are not reliant on one single carrier during an emergency and to ensure consistent voice quality at all times, Callagenix use multiple T1 carrier circuits from BT, MCI, Energis now (Cable & Wireless) & Colt telecom. This covers inbound and outbound circuits.
The cost of the service depends upon the amount of simultaneous lines that are needed plus call charges if a charged number is used. The plans below indicate how much capacity we allocate for BDO to ensure staff can easily connect to the information line.
As a guide, one of our other clients recently used 128 lines to handle 3,400 calls in around one hour.
